The last words of Thorin son of Thrain were "Farewell master Burglar. Go back to your books and your armchair. Plant your trees, and watch them grow. If more people valued home above gold, this world would be a merrier place" and Mr. Baggins was like "Hold on...the eagles are coming no no no no" Weuh! I cried. I cried!!! For some reason, this scene really got to me and got me thinking about how hard we work for the big things that we forget it is and will always be the little things that bring us joy. It was so sad to see how Thorin literally went through the hills and valleys to reclaim his ancestral land but then died even before he got a chance to enjoy what he had worked so hard for. He became obsessed with the gold, riches, and power that he failed to see he had the purest form of joy... people he could call friends. To me, he was a king even before he wore the crown. I hope we will learn to appreciate the little things more. To look at the sun and feel aliv...
