Dear Future Me...

                                         DEAR FUTURE ME... I hope we are happy I hope we wake up every day with a smile on our face and a skip in our steps I hope we are praying that simple prayer every morning and dancing to Lauren Smith's songs Do we still cry at any small inconvenience or are we mature enough to face our troubles head-on? Do we still watch the stars and think they are God's most beautiful creations? Do we still like vanilla ice cream mixed with bananas or did we change? I doubt we've changed because the past us was really afraid of change. But if we changed, did we change for the better? I hope we did.  I hope we still surround ourselves with people who make us feel loved and wanted. People who hold our hands in trying times and cheer us on in good times. MY HOME...

When I build a home, I want the grey sofa to be comfy  The lights to be warm The smell of lavender and freshly baked cookies to play a sweet lullaby to your heart. The coffee table will always have an extra cup and the dining table an extra plate. The bathroom cabinet will have an extra pair of bathroom slippers, clean towels, washcloths, and toothbrushes for those who wish to spend the night.  There will be flowers in pretty vases that I will pluck from my backyard garden every morning as I listen to the song of the birds, the hymn of trees, and inhale the freshness of the morning air. My Bible, a gift from my dad for the day I turned 24, will lay under the chipped Bohemian bowl I got during my visit to Morocco. My memory wall will be full of laminated polaroid photos. Photos of my first day in Texas, my sister's wedding day, my best friends baby showers, and the day I got nominated for the best fashion designer at my local town during the 12th Annual county fair.                                               die Latibule Latibule? you're probably wondering what this weird word means, if it's really an actual English word, and how it's pronounced. Well yes, Latibule is an actual word, a suggested word actually that means a hiding place, a place of comfort, a place where you and I can be free to express ourselves. A place where 5+5 is 10 and so is 9+1. A virtual space we can call home. Your second question might probably be "why then should our comfort place die?", "Are you killing our virtual home so soon? Are we being evicted? but we just moved in?" Worry not oh! distressed damsel I will explain. The word die is a German word that means 'the' but in a feminine type of way. Like when referring to a feminine object such as a picture(Bild), you'll say die Bild meaning the picture. Hence the weird title, die Latibule (The comfort space)...
